Dr. Harry Strulovici Returns to Uganda

Early this month Dr. Harry Strulovici will return to Uganda to identify possible interventions for Phase ll of the pilot project after presenting the Phase l report to all the stakeholders for their feedback and commentary. He will discuss future interventions with staff members including, Winnie Namirembe as well as community health workers and local village leaders where the project will take place.  He will also meet with other stakeholders including the Mityana District Health Officer at the Health Center lV. Discussions about Phase II will be held with Dr. Francis Runumi Mwesigye from the Ugandan Ministry of Health, Dr. Olive Sentumbew-Mugisa from WHO and Dr. Byaruhanga Raymond from the AIDS Information Centre- Uganda as well. Another meeting will occur with the Hon. Sylvia N.M. Ssinabulya, the lead parliamentarian on maternal health and a member of Life for Mothers board. Dr. Strulovici will travel to Nairobi, Kenya to meet with Dr. Nicholas Muraguri from the national AIDS/STI Control Programme and the Kenya AIDS NGO Consortium.
